Learn About Us
Kids
At Farmington First, our Ministry to Kids is primarily a partnership with parents, grandparents, and other guardians who are raising and discipling their children to become followers of Jesus. You are the primary disciplers and we want to serve, train and resource you for the journey. We do this through on-site ministries, training, and resources for at-home discipleship.

Sundays at 10:00 am (Birth-6th grade) First, find the check-in area in the KidZone just off the South parking lot at the rear of the main building. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
-
Before Service:
You can check in your child at the check-in stations in the pre-school wing or in the KidZone. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
After Service:
After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service:
In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we send a discrete text message to your mobile phone number in the database. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Farmington First offers childcare during the service for infants. We also have a Parent’s Viewing Room that is available in the preschool wing for mothers and fathers with infants. This room has a live video feed of the service, rocking chairs, and changing tables, and is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.

Students

Farmington First Students (FFS) meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. While student ministry often switches up how the service looks, you can usually expect a time of fun and games, a time of worship through song with our student-led band, a sermon from Pastor Jacob, and a time of small-group discussion.
Attending our Wednesday night service is a great way to check out FFS, see who we are, what we do, and hear about why we do it. Of course, you’ll also have some fun along the way.

Midweek Ministry
The mission of Farmington First is to Make, Mobilize, and Multiply Disciples of Jesus. Along with Sunday school, Wednesday nights at Farmington First will more intentionally make disciples of Jesus. We will do this via five sessions of six-week-long classes that meet biblical, theological, and felt needs of twenty-first century Christians. Learn more about our current session’s classes below.
-
The Forge, led by Brian Center, is a six-week small group study that uses featured clips from the new Kendrick brothers’ movie, THE FORGE, to ignite a passion for knowing Christ personally, following Him sacrificially, obeying Him willingly, and helping others become disciples of Christ.
-
Respectable Sins, led by Wendy Burrus, goes through Jerry Bridges' book by the same name and discuss one big question: have we become so focused on “major” sins that we’ve grown apathetic about our subtle sins? The study takes you into a deep look at the corrosive patterns of behavior that we often accept as normal. Writing from the trenches of his own battles with sin, Bridges offers a message of hope in the transforming grace of God to overcome our “respectable sins.” Practical, thought-provoking, and relevant at any stage of life, Respectable Sins addresses a dozen clusters of specific “acceptable” sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves.

Tension, anger, fear—it all begins with a heart that craves control. When your vision of how life should be replaces God’s vision, you doom your quest for security, peace, and joy before it even starts. Join Sherri Gansz (LCSW) and see how you can lay down this burden and find rest in surrendering to the One who truly is in control.
-
We all know Jesus commands us to disciple others. But how are we supposed to do this in everyday life? How can women, no matter what stage of life they are in, be a disciple who makes disciples? This 6-week session, led by Gail Dewey, will look at what is discipleship, and several different resources to help women invest in other women's lives with the Word of God.
-
When everything in you wants to hold a grudge, point a finger, and remember the pain, God wants you to lay it all aside. In this class, Pastor Jeremy will lead you through R. T. Kendall’s book, Total Forgiveness, to help you over come unforgiveness and bitterness in your life so you can thrive once again.
Women
A vibrant community of women seeking to know God through study in His Word. We encourage and equip women to stay in fellowship throughout the year within various Bible studies that are offered in the spring, summer, and fall. You’ll find Farmington First women serving and discipling others within the church and reaching out beyond our walls to impact the community in ways that glorify God.
Men
We biblically train and equip men to be spiritual leaders in their homes, in the church, and in their places of business. The Men’s Ministry develops men in Christian living to make an eternal impact for this generation and those to come. We accomplish this mission through Bible study, discipleship groups, evangelism training, leadership development, mentoring, retreats, and special events. In today’s culture, it’s increasingly important for men to honor God with their hearts and lives.
